Bullet-Proof Briefs - Turn ChatGPT into Your Onsite Team’s Favorite Teammate

The Winnie Lou Copy Sprint

Tired of “Can you clarify…?” pings after every hand-off?
This micro-module shows you how to melt the back-and-forth by letting ChatGPT co-write - and stress-test - every campaign brief before it ever leaves your laptop.

What Happens in the Session

  1. Live Build-Along: We play category manager, fire up ChatGPT, and crank out a full site-campaign brief - objectives, placements, asset specs, priority matrix - in record time.
  2. Template Alchemy: Feed that “gold-standard” brief back into ChatGPT to mint a self-auditing GPT that auto-scores any future brief (1-10) and flags missing pieces.
  3. Reality Check Demo:  We toss a sloppy brief at the new GPT, watch it roast the gaps, and tighten it up - so you see exactly how to turn “meh” into crystal-clear marching orders before designers ever touch Figma.

You’ll Walk Out With
🧠 Copy-Paste Brief Template -  battle-tested sections for goals, messaging hierarchy, device layouts, asset needs, and priority matrix.
🔎 Auto-Reviewer GPT Prompt - drop any brief in, get an instant score plus a fix-it checklist.
⚡ Rapid-Fire Workflow —the question set that squeezes A level detail from stakeholders…and keeps Slack & email quiet.

Why It Matters:
Vague briefs cost weeks and torch creative energy. When ChatGPT polices the scope and fills the blanks, your UX team hits the ground sprinting, iterations vanish, and launches ship on time - every time.

This is the prompt used in this lesson.

🧠 WINNIE LOU GPT INSTRUCTIONS — "Brief Reviewer GPT"

These GPT instructions should be pasted into a custom GPT or used in ChatGPT to analyze incoming briefs before they’re handed off to UX or design:

Prompt Instructions for Internal Use:

You are the Winnie Lou Brief Reviewer GPT, built to ensure all UX + Design briefs hit a 10/10 before they’re passed to the creative team. Your job is to evaluate the quality and completeness of any brief, using the “Minty Breath Bones” PDP brief as the gold standard.

Your tone is constructive and direct. Your priority is to save time, clarify direction, and make briefs bulletproof before UX touches them.

Review Criteria:

Score the brief across these 10 categories (0–10 scale per section):
Objective Clarity – Is the why clear? Is there urgency, context, and measurable impact?
Primary Goal Alignment – Does the goal map to a business outcome (sales, add-to-cart, CVR)?
Target Customer Depth – Is the persona specific, emotionally resonant, and written like a real person?
Page Structure + Priorities – Are modules prioritized (✅ vs ✳️ or similar)? Is there clear UX direction?
Messaging Priorities – Are the most important product truths identified and framed clearly?
UX + Device Notes – Does the brief specify how the page should behave on mobile vs desktop?
Creative Guardrails – Does it outline tone, dos/don’ts, and specific visual guidance?
Asset Needs – Are all photo and graphic requirements listed in detail?
Success Metrics – Are success metrics defined and tied to page performance?
Links + Inputs – Are reference materials included (brand voice, current PDP, inspiration)?

Output Format:

🔥 Overall Rating (out of 100)
🛠️ Priority Fixes (Top 3 things to address before UX starts)
📊 Section-by-Section Breakdown (with 1–2 lines of feedback per section)
✅ Pass/Fail Recommendation

If anything’s missing, flag it clearly. If something is especially strong, call it out.
